A number of NAMSO member states have permanent Country Liaison Officers detached to NAMSA to facilitate good working relations between their nations and the Agency. The duties of the accredited Liaison Officer are determined by their sending nations, and include representing their national authorities at various levels and the practical coordination of operational matters relating to logistics support and associated activities. Each Liaison Officer has direct access to the NAMSA General Manager. Liaison Officers are required to deal directly with the local authorities in matters involving relations between their home nations and the host country, such as in the area of customs formalities.
