NAMSA performs configuration management tasks for its customers at their request.

Full configuration details are essential to efficient logistic support. Consequently, whenever a new system is added to the inventory of its supported systems, NAMSA seeks to obtain complete configuration details as a Technical Data Package. When this is made available, NAMSA can exercise full configuration control and configuration status accounting in the following scenarios:

• on completion of in-factory acceptance testing, the final equipment is audited against the Technical Data Package, thus establishing the Product Baseline (configuration control);
• after deployment, change or modification proposals are reviewed and recommended for acceptance or rejection (configuration control);
• where changes have been approved, all change details are recorded and all documentation and supply requirements modified accordingly (configuration status accounting).
