NAMSO Board of Directors (BOD)
| Two permanent subsidiary committees
assist the NAMSO Board of Directors: the Logistics Committee and
the Finance and Administration Committee. They comprise logistics,
financial and administration experts of the member nations. These
committees generally meet in joint session twice per year with the
senior management of the Agency to resolve issues, discuss and review
policy and to make recommendations for the final approval of the
BOD. Decisions taken by them are binding on the Agency, within the
confines of the authority delegated to them by the Board of Directors.
The Chairman of the NAMSO Board of Directors also chairs these Committees. |
The NAMSO Board of Directors (BOD) comprises senior
representatives from the Defence Ministries of the NAMSO nations. The
BOD is the highest policy making authority and its decisions are binding
on all elements of NAMSA. It normally meets twice per year with the General
Manager and senior management of the Agency. The responsibilities of the NAMSO Board of Directors are set out in its
Charter. Broadly they are:
- general policy and the issue of associated directives for the Organization,
- providing guidance for the operation and administration of the Agency,
- approving and entering into international agreements in accordance with the NAMSO Charter,
- setting the policy to be followed for NAMSO relations with customers,
